We're the Rothquel's, a full-time traveling family from Hawaii. We've been to more than 50 countries, all 7 continents and hundreds of cities around the world. We love making travel guides of our favorite places to help other families eat, see and do it all while creating lasting memories together.<br>

We are a family of adventurers who have turned our passion for exploring the world into a way of life but our story truly began when we adopted our daughter, Tyanna, through the foster care system in 2019. As travel bloggers, we love sharing our experiences, insights, and the joys of journeying together. Webster defines family as a group of individuals living under one roof, but in our world, family means so much more. It’s the love that binds us, the memories we create, and the journey we take together.<br><br>Whether we’re flying, sailing, road-tripping in our camper van, or riding the rails, our travels are about embracing the beautiful chaos of life as a family. We may not always be under the same roof (or any roof at all!) but wherever we go, our love and togetherness are what make us a family. We’re thrilled to have you join us on this adventure and hope our story inspires you to find joy in the journey, wherever it may lead.

If you're a family thinking about moving abroad, let us give you a glimpse of what could be! In 2015, we took the leap and moved to Beijing, China. We had no idea what to expect. We didn’t sell our home; instead, we rented it out, without deliberately knowing, making a smart financial decision that allowed us to grow while seeing the world.<br><br>We often hear stories of people selling up, leaving their jobs, and traveling the world—but that's not our story! We were two teachers who wanted to see and experience the world, and we thought, why not. So, we took a chance, packed our bags, and set off on a global teaching adventure.<br><br>Fast forward to today: we’ve taught in China, Indonesia, and Cambodia. Now, we’re on our biggest adventure yet—living in Ethiopia with our two young daughters. We’re a family of four, paying down our mortgages, and still teaching. We're adventurous, easy-going, and love what we do. Living abroad is far from perfect but we wouldn’t have it any other way.&nbsp;

Along the way, we have gained a lot of insight into living and working in multiple countries with our 3 girls.<br><br>We've decided to start giving back and sharing our appreciation for what we've learned with the creation of this Youtube channel.
